A MESSAGE FROM THE BRIGHTMERGE MANAGEMENT & BOARD OF ADVISORS

Dear Friends,

Like 99% of our fellow startups, we have little to add in solving the Corona crisis. It’s not our field. BUT…we do have lot to contribute to prepare for the DAY AFTER: advanced solutions and technologies for sustainable energy systems that will sustain communities today, tomorrow and far into the future. Despite the doom and gloom, we CAN get through this period by being farsighted for a change. Remember, there is always a DAY AFTER…and that is what we’re planning for. We’re working now on tomorrow’s technology and systems to use today, to create a better world tomorrow – and that tomorrow is not too far in the future. Brightmerge is in full steam ahead (!) mode, planning for the DAY AFTER.

INVESTMENT OUTLOOK

Our BIRD-F investments and budget will enable us to thrive for at least 6-7 months, while a number of EU (EIC SME2020) and local programs are also under development. This budget will be monitored on a day-to-day basis and adjusted as demanded by events on the ground allowing us to clear the current Corona period with a number of customers and a beta version in place. This situation is an opportunity for us and we are determined to push rather than to dive for cover, and hide until the storm passes. We foresee a huge amount of money being invested in infrastructure to kick-start the economy and we will be there and ready to take part in the emerging digital energy transition. We recently opened a special $500,000 pre-Seed round to support our goal to be ready by Q4 2020 for a growth stage. MICROGRIDS IN A TIME OF CRISIS

BY DANIEL SCHWAB CEO

During times of crisis, sustainability and affordability take a back seat to resiliency. Our lights, computers, fridges and other critical equipment must stay connected. Imagine trying to manage Corona without electricity! Such a scenario would knock our world back hundreds of years.

It is vital to have the expertise and knowledge on how to manage the significant risks inherent in our complex electricity supply system; and then how to upgrade our systems to improve resiliency and reliability. This will ensure both our global economy and society’s health and safety far into the future.

Click below to read more about the economic impact and how Brightmerge’s platform best employs advanced technology and systems to ensure that the DAY AFTER, we still have power, at an economical and efficient level.

THIS TINY ISLAND MAY HOLD THE ANSWER TO THE FUTURE OF ELECTRICITY

All of us are focused on doing our part to stem the pandemic. But we also need to be confident about the future. Here's a really great Microgrid project off the coast of Maine in which we’re involved.

Coronavirus Checklist: What to Buy Now to Be Prepared

With a global pandemic and a collapsing economy, a Microgrid is starting to sound like a pretty good idea. Especially a microgrid that can supply food, water, and safety. A microgrid is a large undertaking and can be expensive, but you can still stock up on essentials that may become scarce as supply chains are disrupted and panic buying begins.

With coronavirus and climate change, it’s about time

Time is what keeps everything from happening at once, someone wisely said.Yes, but: in once-in-a-lifetime moments when everything does seem to be happening at once, like what’s unfolding with the cascading coronavirus crisis, time is a ruthless prioritizer. Acting on the decades-long problem of climate change falls to the bottom of the pile.

Gencell - Latest News

The claims by the WHO and other scientists that climate change impacts infectious diseases only serves to reinforce our efforts to reduce emissions and combat climate crisis. In this increasingly interdependent world, resilient power is crucial for emergency responders and public safety, and we are proud that our products and services are contributing in this arena.
